Overview of DISTaNCE
DISTaNCE is a program focused on digitizing in-service training to promote both clinical and non-clinical excellence. It offers a comprehensive clinical training package, also known as the Continuing Professional Development–Integrated Primary Health Care (CPD-IPHC) program. This package is designed for both basic-level participants including pharmacists, nutritionists, public health professionals, laboratory staff, and allied health workers and standard-level clinical cadres, including doctors, nurses, and midwives.
The non-clinical excellence component, referred to as the Integrated Suite Development Program (ISDP), provides leadership and management training specifically tailored for health centre directors in the primary health care system.
The program aims to enhance training delivery through digitalization by utilizing Google Classroom to host all learning materials and support the training process. A blended learning approach is used, combining online modules with partial offline sessions to ensure accessibility, flexibility, and effective learning outcomes for all participants.
